Mitch Barrow

Movement Coach - BAppSc (Human Movement)

Mitch's mission: To improve understanding of how movement influences the mind, our performance and our quality of life.

For the past 18 years Mitch has worked as a Performance Coach and Movement Specialist, working with athletes (national and international) and the general public to enhance movement ability, self awareness and total function of the body.

Experience has taught Mitch that the body and mind are not separate, and that quite often overcoming physical barriers can help to understand ourselves and the blockages we have. He has taken his experience developing sporting performance into corporate performance, supporting organisations in developing their own individuals and teams.

reasons to work with us

Living Performance programs will change the health and wellness of your culture and your people, ensuring that your team can maximise its potential.

We take a coaching approach to our work, tapping into the potential of your team to create its own long term and highly effective solutions.

The research below supports the 'why' behind our work and also our approach:

Global coaching study PWC ROI

Global research has found that when employee health and wellness is managed well the percentage of engaged employees increases from 7% to 55%

This research also found self-reported creativity and innovation increases from 20% to 72%. (Wellness and Productivity Management: A New Approach to Increasing Performance, 2011)

The Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) estimates the cost of replacing an employee is at least 75% of the employee’s annual salary and may be as much as 150% in some cases. (AHRI HR Pulse 2008, ‘Love ‘em don’t lose ‘em’ – Identifying Retention Strategies that Work)

Body stressing and mental stress claims accounted for 71% of claims costs in the Comcare scheme in 2009/10 (Comcare 2011).

Research finds the lowest workers’ compensation costs are found in work teams where good leadership and organisational climate factors foster a positive work environment where employees feel supported and have high levels of wellbeing. (Cotton, P 2008, ‘Psychological Injury in the Workplace’)
